Key responsibilities
- Create, record, and design high‑quality sound effects for weapons (firearms, melee, explosives), UI, ambience, characters, and other in‑game assets.
- Develop cohesive audio palettes that reinforce the game’s aesthetic.
- Implement and mix sounds in Unity (FMOD, Wwise, or native AudioSources), ensuring correct spatialization, performance, and responsiveness.
- Collaborate with designers and programmers to translate creative intent into functional, immersive audio experiences.
- Iterate based on play‑tests, balancing loudness, frequency content, and variation to prevent fatigue and maintain consistency.
- Maintain organized project files and clear naming/versioning conventions for seamless hand‑offs and revision control.
Qualifications
- Proficiency with a professional DAW (Reaper, Pro Tools, Nuendo, etc.) and industry‑standard plugins.
- Demonstrated skill in field recording, Foley, synthesis, and layered sound design workflows.
- Understanding of mixing fundamentals (loudness standards, EQ, compression, reverb, mastering for games).
- Experience integrating audio in Unity (cues, parameters, spatial audio, attenuation curves).
Bonus
- Familiarity with C# scripting for dynamic audio behaviours.
- Background in music composition or adaptive music systems.
- Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Sound Design, Audio Engineering, Game Development, or a related field.
- Passion for games and an eagerness to grow within a collaborative development environment.
